Adam had been Harry’s best friend for as long as he could
recall. Their age difference had never matter, as they had been
neighbors, back when he was seven, and Harry was four. Their parents
had been best friends, and they had naturally grown up together, and
they were closer than brothers. It was eleven years since they had
met, Adam was eighteen now, and preparing to leave for college, and
Harry was just starting his sophomore year of high school. It would
be the toughest challenge their friendship had ever faced, as Adam
was moving out tomorrow.

Today Adam was dressed in a yellow t-shirt from his old high school,
with black shorts below, and was barefoot. He was a rather tall (six
foot three), attractive young man, with short, light blond hair on
his head, and muscles evident of a prolific high school football
career. He weighed a neat two twenty, which was rather perfect for
his football lifestyle. He was a rather popular kid at school, but
that had never affected his friendship with Harry. He never had much
in the brains department, but he got by with good grades by taking
easy classes, and minimizing his work load.

Harry was seemingly the opposite of Adam, he was a short (Five foot
five), nerdy kid. He had shaggy red hair, just reaching the tips of
his ears, and curling madly, and his face was covered with freckles.
He was thin as a wire, barely weighing half of what his friend
weighed, coming in at a measly one twenty pounds. He was wearing a
red long sleeved t-shirt, with a star-wars picture on the front. He
wore blue jeans, all the way to his feet, which were covered with a
nice pair of tennis shoes.

Throughout all their friendship, they had done almost everything
together, from watching TV shows, going to sports games, even hair
cuts. Now was the first time ever that they would be in separate
cities, even if they were only a half hour drive from one another. It
was a foreign idea to them, to be apart. So they celebrated the last
day before he left by...

Pretending it wasn’t about happen. They watched TV, starting
with the first season of Stargate SG1, which was gone by three pm.
They had started very early, intending to spend the whole twenty four
hours before Adam left together. After that, they watched the movie
Serenity, before simply turning on cable, and resorting to whatever
was on the television. They weren’t really watching it, instead
talking, playing games, and most of all, arguing about their favorite
characters.

The first show that came on was Modern Family, and Adam sighed,
knowing the variety of characters would spawn many arguments, just as
Serenity had. Adam wanted to know why Harry couldn’t see that
Simon was the best character, while Adam stayed true to his favorite,
River. At least they stuck to a single pair of siblings, because that
helped them find common ground.

Harry started the current argument by stating that it was “Obvious
that Haley was the best of the two Dunphy sisters.” That rang
harshly on Adam’s ears, as he knew that Alex would have a
better life, her brains would put her ahead in the world, in ways
that Haley’s social skills never would.

“Come on Harry, Haley only has social skills. She has the brain
of a doorknob, and brains are what gets people ahead in the world.
Alex has the brains, as she has proven multiple times in the show.”
Adam said, sighing. The start of another argument. At least they were
enjoyable.

“Haley has a great life, filled with friends, who she hangs out
with constantly. Alex sits at home, alone, studying, all the time.
She must be constantly bored compared to Haley!” Harry
responded, sighing. He wished he had more friends. Most of his
current friends were only friends with him because of Adam, and he
was leaving, and his friends would too, for sure.

Adam rolled his eyes. He had experienced all of high school, and
wished fervently that he had more brains and a work ethic like Alex’s
for college, because it would be a challenge as it was. A challenge
Adam wasn’t sure he would be able to overcome. “But Alex
has a future! She will be going to college, getting a degree, and
earning herself a living. The best career Haley can look forward too
is trophy wife.”

Unknown to either of them, their near constant arguments had gathered
natural power around them, and that power was becoming focused on
these arguments, slowly altering each person into the person they
defended.

Harry’s hands grew delicate, more defined, and softer, like
hands regularly touched by the powers of lotion. His fingernails
polished themselves, turning a red color, which drew his attention.
“What the hell happened to my hands?” He said aloud,
staring at them in confusion and horror. He looked to Adam for help,
but he had troubles of his own.

Adam’s hair, once blond and cut short, poured over his face,
down to his upper chest, perfectly straight. It had turned a dark
brown, which confused and horrified Adam, as he looked to Harry,
strands of hair partially obscuring his vision. He brushed it away,
scared. “What is going on dude?” He asked, eyes wide.

“I don’t know, but look at my hands!” Harry said,
holding up his feminine hands, which were much tanner than the rest
of his very pale body. His nails were long, compared to his normally
bitten down nails.

“Weird...” Just then, a particularly loud scene on the
television drew their attention again. Haley had recently proved she
was a bit clumsy, and Adam snickered, forgetting his new hair
momentarily. “That is why Alex is so much better. She wouldn’t
have done that in the first place!”

“A little physical clumsiness doesn’t make her worse, at
least when compared to Alex’s social clumsiness!” Harry
retorted, acting as if that obviously would have won the argument.

Their continued arguments triggered more changes, as Adam’s
face began reshaping, losing all the stubble that had accumulated
since yesterday morning, all at once. After that, his mouth expanded
slightly, as his skull shrank, becoming more round, as all traces of
acne vanished. His nose shrunk, and his blue eyes turned to brown.
His eyebrows reshaped themselves, and he blinked, as thin amounts of
makeup appeared on his face. “That isn’t normal...”
He said, being the master of the obvious.

Meanwhile, Harry was undergoing remarkably less drastic changes. His
arms could already be considered girly, lacking muscle of any real
sort, but after a few moments, there would be no mistaking them. The
tan from his hands slowly crept up, washing away the hair from his
arms as it came, removing the vestiges of muscle, and leaving softer,
feminine arms in its wake. Bracelets appeared on his right arm, much
to his surprise. “I have girl arms!” Harry cried out,
looking up for the first time.

“Oh my god! You have Alex’s face!” Harry said next,
fear in his voice. “What the hell is going on?” He said,
almost running away on the spot.

“I don’ t know...” Adam said, his voice still the
same. It was odd for such a masculine voice to come from the female
head, but it was the least of their concerns at the moment. The
Spirits of Arguments noticed their victims were noticing the changes,
and enhanced the argumentative nature of each one. “I think we
are turning into the people we are arguing about...” He said,
slowly and surely.

“That is impossible, people don’t just randomly
change...” Harry said, although he knew it wasn’t true,
as it was obviously happening right now. He had felt he had to
disagree, and any arguments fueled the Spirit’s power, and that
power was being used to change the pair.

Adam’s hands flew to his throat as he felt it change, thinning
out, and slightly shrinking, and he felt his Adam’s Apple
retreat, as if scared off by something, and vanishing into the neck,
which was now quite feminine, and much less tan than he was before.
Football had earned him quite a tan, one he was rapidly losing. It
was the reverse for Harry, of course, and Adam said, his voice now a
match for Alex’s, “It is obvious that they do...”

Harry wasn’t paying the slightest of attention to Adam by now.
The tan line slowly spread under his shirt, eventually covering his
whole torso. Moments after that, a part Harry had been fearing for a
while now began. His breasts began forming, feeling rather scratchy
against his red star wars shirt. Wait... It was turning purple...
then blue... the material was changing as well, becoming soft and
stretchy, as opposed to the previous garments, which were rough
compared to his. Above them, a form of jacket, at least in Harry’s
eyes, was forming, a whitish jacket only covering his feminine arms,
as a pressure formed under his shirt, something Harry knew could only
be a bra. “I have a problem Adam...” He muttered, almost
passing out from the shock.

Adam looked up, saying in his girl’s voice, “So do I...”
Fear was evident in both of pairs of eyes, from Adam’s newly
brown eyes, to Harry’s green eyes.

“At least Alex has smaller boobs than Haley...” Adam
tried to joke, weakly, thinking humor was the best solution to this
problem, and realizing, that with the changes moving downward, he was
about to acquire the same parts as Harry in a few moments.

“Nah, haven’t you seen the newer episodes? Alex has an
obviously bigger rack.” Harry said, shaking his head. Why did
he keep disagreeing with Adam? It was odd.

“Sorry man, I don’t think we are turning into third
season girls, I feel a little younger than Alex looks during the
third season.” Adam said, gasping as the changes rolled down
his torso. As he guessed, his breasts were a bit smaller than
Harry’s, but they still had a bra form over them. After that,
his shirt began changing, lightening to a bright green, with a darker
green vest forming over that. On top of all of that, a striped black
and green jacket appeared. He could tell he lost a lot of weight by
now, and he knew this was only the beginning. He couldn’t tell,
but he was sure he had lost at least six inches of height. “Told
you so...” He said weakly, although Harry was feeling much
weaker at this point.

Harry felt a tightening in his crotch, as his butt expanded quite a
bit. His penis vanished, as he shoved his feminine hands into his
pants, struggling to keep it from vanishing. He failed, becoming a
“she.” at least where it counted. “Oh my god Adam.
I have a vagina. I have a girl’s vagina...”

Adam didn’t really know when to stop with the jokes, or perhaps
he was saying things that would cause arguments because of the
Spirits, he didn’t know. Either way, he said, with a smile on
his face, “Masturbating over there? That vagina is hardly a
virgin.”

“I AM NOT!” Harry cried, tears streaming down his face,
and the Spirits getting quite a bit of energy from that outburst.
With that, Harry felt his throat begin to alter itself, as he
continued crying, his sobs gradually rising in pitch, as he felt his
throat with his girl’s hands, almost drawing blood with the
unfamiliar nails. Within moments, feminine sobs the same as Haley’s
emanated from Harry’s masculine head.

Adam, however, was facing the same problems as Harry had moments
before. The loss of his penis. His butt was smaller, for sure, but it
seemed huge compared to before. His reaction was more of staring in
horror as the bulge in his shorts shrunk slowly, before vanishing
completely.

“Oh my god, your right, we are turning into girls! From TV!”
Adam cried, one hand feeling the front of his crotch, as if to
confirm the lack of a penis.

“We are not Adam, we are obviously turning into the actresses.
The characters themselves are fictional!” Harry said, even
though he knew it was futile to argue, as it really didn’t
matter in the end. He would be a girl!

“No, we are obviously younger than the actresses, as the
actress that plays Haley is like twenty one, and you don’t look
twenty one.” Adam squeezed out, before the odd sensation grew
on his arms. Every bit of hard won muscle vanished, shrinking into
twigs compared to the previous size. All the arm hair shrunk away,
and a black wristwatch appeared on the end of his arm.

Harry’s legs began changing, losing any muscle, being replaced
by fat, as his jeans began rolling up, turning from a dark blue, to a
light teal. Soon they no longer were jeans, but a pair of shorts, one
that shrunk increasingly much, until Harry almost felt naked wearing
it. Underneath, his boxers shifted to panties, which were snug
against his new vagina.

“Oh god, this is really happening! Why are you doing this to be
Adam?” Harry cried out, despair in his voice, as he stood up,
planning on leaving. He obviously wasn’t doing it, so Adam was
the only other logical explanation, as far as he was concerned, in
his near hysterical mindset.

“I am doing nothing! Why would I turn myself into a girl as
well? Stop blaming me for something obviously not my fault!”
Adam said, examining his arms, rolling up the sleeves to examine
them, when he heard Harry fall and crash on the ground behind him. As
he turned, he rushed to help him.

Harry had been walking towards the door when his feet began changing,
and his tennis shoes began altering themselves. His feet shrunk,
although he had kept walking through this. After that, his socks
vanished, but he ignored this, but when his tennis shoes became
heels, he lost his balance, and they finished converting as he hit
the ground. He yelled “Get away from me, you bastard!” as
Adam approached, unaware of his hands changing to thin delicate
copies of Alex’s, more suited to writing with a pencil than for
catching a football. He was too concerned over Harry, but sighed
annoyedly, turning away.

“At least I am not turning into a slut.” He said, just
loud enough for Harry to hear. He had crossed a line, and that
annoyed him to no end. He had rejected his honest appeal to help him,
and by refusing that, made him akin to an enemy of Adam’s, at
least for now.

“I am not turning into a slut!” Harry cried out, more
desperation in his voice than certainty. He was hoping he would not
lose his mind to Haley’s, because after watching the show, it
was obvious boys and popularity were the only things on her mind. She
showed occasional cleverness, but nothing compared to what Harry was
used to, and losing his intelligence, his hard earned knowledge,
scared him.

However, he felt his face reform as he shouted denial, and he knew
without a mirror that with the expanded lips, shrunk nose, the tingle
he knew represent his green eyes darkening to brown, the wash of pins
and needles that washed over him that he knew meant his skin became
flawless, as Haley would keep it, her goal to attract more boys and
get more popular, with all of these feelings, he knew that his face
was know a lookalike of Haley’s.

Meanwhile, Adam lost the remainder of his masculine height when his
legs shrunk, thinning out from all the muscle he had developed from
hard work in the weight rooms for the past four years, and losing
every hair that made them look masculine. He now rested at about five
four, a nearly a foot shorter than he had been. Everything looked so
much bigger now, and his feet looked horribly misshapen on the ends
of the feminine legs.

“Still think you will have “fun?”” Adam asked
Harry, anger in his voice, as he taunted him intentionally. “Do
you think you will have fun being a dumb girl struggling through her
classes, her thoughts on the boys, and not the class itself?”
Adam berated him. He knew Alex was better, and these changes seemed
to prove it. In truth, Adam was terrified of what would happen to
him, but he didn’t show it. He had always been popular, and he
didn’t know what he would do without it.

“At least I won’t be a social outcast like you! I will
have friends, and you will have yourself, and your books. Enjoy that
life, I never did.” Adam winced, glad Harry wasn’t
looking. That struck a nerve, a nerve he hoped wouldn’t be hit.

With that, Adam sadly watched his bare feet shrink down to what
seemed like half the side they were before, as socks wrapped
themselves over the tiny feet, which seemed to fit her legs and
ankles perfectly, and lastly, black tennis shoes formed over the
socks, very feminine shoes. “Oh god... It finished...” He
said, fearful. The only thing left was his mind, and if he lost
that...

Harry crawled to the couch as his hair grew out, reaching past his
new breasts, and becoming incessantly wavy at the bottom. He too
realized what was next, if he continued changing. He braced himself,
fearful of the future.

“I’ve got it!” Adam cried, realizing why there were
breaks between the transformations. Every time they argued, they
changed more. If they stopped arguing now, they could keep their
minds! Adam was nearly ecstatic! “Our arguments are causing the
transformations! If we stop now, we can keep our minds!” He
said in a joyous voice. He was feeling better than he had in months,
relief spreading through his female body.

“That is ridiculus. Arguments cannot cause changes to bodies.”
Harry said condescendingly, his eyes widening as he felt a tingle in
his head. “NO! I TAKE THAT BACK! Please...” He begged, as
the relief Adam had felt turning to horror in the base of his
stomach. He felt memories of football vanishing, strategies on how to
play going away, one by one. His boyhood memories of playing with
younger Harry replaced by spending time with his older sister, Haley.
All his social skills becoming foreign to him, simple concepts, with
no way to actually execute them. After that, knowledge flooded his
brain, while some was dropped out. Memories from his high school
years vanished, knowledge going away, while more obscure facts filled
the void, and simple intelligence grew instead of the knowledge.

Nearly the opposite happened to Harry. He felt his knowledge drain
away, like sand through his fingertips. The harder he gripped it, the
faster it fell away, only to be washed away forever. Vague knowledge
filled his mind, from classes Haley had taken that Harry had not, but
the knowledge was like it was behind a foggy wall, there, but unable
to be used. Social skills, and a desire for company filled the
forefront of Haley’s mind, Harry’s last conscious thought
was regret over the decision to argue with Adam for no reason, all
day. “Sorry Alex...” Haley said, feeling like she should
say that, although Haley wasn’t sure why. Harry was still
there, just suppressed.

“It is ok...” Alex replied, unaware of why her sister was
apologizing. “Are you ok?” She asked, knowing that if
Haley was apologizing something was wrong. “Oh my god! What did
you do?” She screeched a moment later, realizing something was
likely done to her if she was apologizing to her.

“I don’t know...” Haley replied, confusion in her
voice. She knew she should be apologizing for something, but she
didn’t know what.

“Maybe you should think about it more. Would certainly be
better than your current thoughts. Thinking of boys again?”
Alex asked, intending it as an insult, as she walked up stairs to her
room. She had never noticed the house change from Adam and Harry’s
place they hung out in, to the Dunphy household.

Haley felt ashamed, while Harry felt disgusted. He should not be
feeling that way over a boy... Haley glared at Alex, retorting, “At
least I know some boys. Or people in general...” She said,
pulling out her phone. She would call her boyfriend. That would
certainly be better than spending time around her nerd of a sister.

Alex, on the other hand, had the feeling that she forgot someone
important, and spent the next few minutes thinking on it, before
going at her math homework like some sort of starving demon. It
didn’t matter, and could be considered later.

Adam sighed. At least this way, he had a future. Poor Harry,
though... Although that is what he got for thinking Haley was better.
